Mia’s Most Magnificent Energy Bites

If you’re looking for the quickest snack for you and your little ones, just plug in your food processor and experiment with any type of dry fruits, seeds, nuts, grains, etc. the combinations are endless! This is one I created for my little 5 year-old gymnast, Mia, who is always looking for a sweet snack before practice; I threw in a few ingredients I had in my pantry and with the addition of chocolate they were an instant hit!


“Triple M” Energy Bites

(Makes: you can never have enough!)

2 cups Medjool Dates, pitted

1 cup Peanuts (can be substituted with any nuts)

2 tsp Chia Seeds

4 tsp Unsweetened Dutch Process Cocoa Powder

  • Put all the ingredients into the food processor, as they are, no chopping required.
  • Pulse until it forms a paste
  • Form into balls and place on a parchment-lined tray (wax paper also works). It helps if your hands are a bit wet, so keep a cup of drinkable water close by.
  • Chill for 10 minutes (if you can wait that long)
  • Bite!
